Notes from the FullBelly

Well, as our Thanksgiving weekend comes to a close, I have composed a list of some of the more noteworthy things that we took full advantage of during this wonderful holiday.
  • Family - This Thanksgiving we split our family time up over TWO days. This was wonderful since we didn't have to eat and rush to the other house only to crash and barf. We love spending time with our families and this weekend made us realize how much of a priority it needs to be. There, you have it in writing, we promise to visit more often.
  • Football - Hands down, (next to quality time with family, of course) there is nothing better than gorging yourself on Turkish Delights and watching hours upon hours of football. The Packers, the Cowboys, LSU, Kentucky - we have seen it all! And it never gets old. Especially this season, we have seen some exceptional, and wacky, football games. It all culminated with today. We finished the weekend off right by attending the Bedlam game in Norman. BOOMER SOONER! Pokes...are for Facebook.
  • Stuffing/Dressing - I have never liked stuffing/dressing until this year. I don't know if it's because I've never really tried it, but golly, why hasn't anyone ever slapped me for not eating sixteen pounds of it before? D-Li-Shus! Wopsle's sister Sherri and I decided that stuffing is the technical name for when you actually shove it in the turkey's butt, and dressing is just the fancy name for StoveTop.
  • PikePass - Just trust me on this one. Tis always better to have one of these when traveling from Duncan to OKC/Norman. Quarters and stops - neeahhhhhuhhh no good.
  • Shopping - Hats off to my mother, for she is the queen. I talked a big game about getting up at 5am and hitting the sales, but she actually did it! Anyway, we were able to take advantage of the great sales later in the day but that came at the expense of picked over colors, smelly bathrooms, and ravaged racks of clothes. Still, my Christmas shopping is well underway.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm still a KU fan. Read my blog and you'll see all my nasty weight-gain statistics from this week. Gross!

Glad you guys had a great Turkey Day!
